Our Story
World Volunteering was created with one simple, but powerful goal – offer amazing opportunities for volunteers to make real and lasting impacts across the globe.
World Volunteering was founded by the same team that founded African Impact, Africa’s leading volunteer organization, and after years of requests, we decided it was time to spread our wings and look at volunteering opportunities outside of Africa.
We have spent months scouring the world for responsible, sustainable and impactful projects, and have partnered with some wonderful operators to ensure that we can offer the same amazing experience all over the world.
"It's changed everything. It has made me want to travel more and come back to volunteer again. I thought I had my whole life figured out but this showed me that there is so much more that I can do. I've met amazing people from all over the world that I want to see again, and I'm a much more confident, adventurous, and positive person." Stephanie Schaefer, USA
“Volunteering abroad truly does impact not only the children or animals, but the volunteer itself. I have grown and matured in ways that I never was possible. “ Safia Bashir, USA
"I can't describe what it meant for me to volunteer. I made friends, met wonderful people and the best of all, I was so immersed in what I did, I felt I was a part of the village community - I felt like a local. WONDERFUL PROJECT, WONDERFUL PEOPLE!" Andrea Valdiviesco, Chile
"I was more than impressed with my experience. I kept my expectations low seeing as I've never done anything of this sort before and I was blown away. It is an extremely safe environment, friendly and helpful staff, meaningful work and so much more. For anyone who has a love for lions and wants to work for a good cause, Zimbabwe is 100% the place to be." Jessica Kobus, UK
“I wanted to let you know that the experience I had with you was truly a cliched "once in a life time" experience. Being able to work with the lions and being a very small part of a very big and honourable cause is something I will treasure for life.” Margaret Hatezic, Australia
